About Invited Speakers

The KW4ED invited speakers are:

[homepage] Dr Paul Buitelaar (From DFKI - Germany) one of the specialists in language technologies and semantics and also interested recently in Inference for Automatic Annotation and Retrieval of Multimedia Contents.

[homepage] Dr Yiannis Kompatsiaris (Head of Multimedia knowledge group, from Centre for Research and Technology Hellas Thermi-Thessaloniki, Greece) heavily involved in the EU Project AceMedia and has research activities mainly in Multimedia Technologies which fit naturally well with KW4ED workshop contents (engineering design with virtual reality)
