The program is designed for those having completed the first-year Master program at home institution in either computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, mathematical biology, bioinformatics or biophysics. By Master program, we refer to the basic framework adopted in Europe which is of three cycles of higher education qualification. The cycles are defined in terms of qualifications and European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits:
- »1st cycle: typically 180 - 240 ECTS credits, usually awarding a Bachelor's degree. [3 years]
- »2nd cycle: typically 90 - 120 ECTS credits (a minimum of 60 on 2nd-cycle level). Usually awarding a Master's degree. [2 years]
- »3rd cycle: Doctoral degree. No ECTS range given. [3 years]
If the structure of the cursus in your country is different (e.g., your bachelor lasted four years), we shall check whether your curriculum is equivalent to a Master 1 degree, based upon your transcript of record and the information you will provide in the application form.
