There are openings for M.Sc. (6 months) and Engineering theses (3-6 months). Please see below.

Both M.Sc. and Engineering theses receive a stipend to cover expenses ("Indemnité de stage"). Please note that both French students from Masters programs and engineering schools AND students from other countries are strongly encouraged to apply. We have a strong tradition of hosting foreign students for Masters theses.

PhD Topics

There are no specific Ph.D. positions open at this time; however any interested student should not hesitate to contact us.

M.Sc. or Engineering Topics

This year we have decided to have common Masters and Engineering thesis topics. In the case of engineering thesis, the emphasis will be more on programming and less on research. A successful Master's thesis is expected to lead to a publication.

We are primarily looking for M.Sc. students in these two topics (in order of preference):

Real-time simulation of sound propagation effects in complex multi-room environments (N. Tsingos & S. Lefebvre)
Perceptually-driven Interactive Global Illumination (G. Drettakis & C. Dachsbacher)

Octree Texture Synthesis (S. Lefebvre)
Using Audio-Visual Crossmodal Integration to Guide 3D Interaction (G. Drettakis)
