Introduction

Lesion Segmentation Editor is a module of the MedINRIA platform. Lesion Segmentation Editor Module (LSE) is also included in a subpackage of MedINRIA: SepINRIA (http://www-sop.inria.fr/asclepios/software/sepinria) which is dedicated to Multiple Sclerosis patient brain MRI analysis. This chapter only describes the Lesion Segmentation Editor Module (LSE). The aim of this module is:

• to simplify the segmentation of lesions on brain conventional MRI,
• to give segmentation statistics (Number of Lesions, Volume of Lesions),
• to be a preliminary step to a software allowing a fully automatic segmentation of brain lesions.
