my answer -- which was a bit tongue in cheek -- asked to be read
in the context of benjamin's proposal to *add* "location as unit
of transformation", "following earlier views on this list, that
included units of migration, synchronisation, failure, trust etc".
one could argue that locations cannot be units of behaviour,
for their composition as well as their constituent parts exhibit
behaviour!
