Short Bio

I am a post-doctoral researcher in the CHORALE group at INRIA, Sophia Antipolis/France. Previously I was with Department of Computer Science of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais/Brazil, working with Prof. Erickson Rangel do Nascimento and Prof. Mario Fernando Montenegro Campos in the VeRLab group. My research interests lie in Computer Vision, Robot Vision and applied Machine Learning, more specifically in the topics of 3D vision, human motion analysis, unconventional image understanding and processing.

I recently completed my PhD on "Controle, Optimisation, Prospective" at INRIA and the Ecole des Mines de Paris/PSL, under supervision of Dr. Patrick Rives. My thesis was about improving direct image registration and 3D mapping using wide field of view cameras (panoramic and spherical images). Previously, I received my Bachelor's degree in Control and Automation Engineering (2011) from the University of Campinas and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering (2013) from the University of Campinas and in Computer Science from the TU Compiegne (where I did an internship in 2008/2009 during my undergraduate studies). During my Master thesis, I was also affiliated to the Robotics and Computer Vision Lab at CTI Renato Archer research center.
