Abstract:
Chow form and Sparse Resultant are basic concepts in algebraic geometry and powerful tools in algebraic elimination theory with important applications. On the other hand, theory and algorithms for differential Chow form and differential sparse resultant are not studied before. In this talk, I will introduce our current work on differential Chow form and differential sparse resultant.

2) “A Symbolic-Geometric Method For Real Roots Isolation Of Zero-Dimensional Polynomial System”, by Jinsan Cheng (AMSS, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
Abstract:
We present a symbolic-geometric method to isolate the real roots of a zero-dimensional polynomial system with probability 1 correctness. It mainly involves resultant computation and real roots isolation of univariate polynomial equations. The implementation shows that the method is efficient, especially for bivariate polynomial systems.
