To make a zoom of a part of the mesh, push the ``zoom''
toggle in the bottom frame. A window appears (see figure 1.12).
Figure 1.12:
Informations about the zoom.
There are different ways of defining the dimension of the zoom area.
While manipulating the zoom, you can draw only the ``comp fr'' or the complete
``mesh'', depending on the power of your workstation and the number of nodes
of your mesh.
The easiest way is to use the ``up, down, left, right'' arrows
to move the mesh.
Then use the ``-'' or ``+'' buttons to move forward or backward the mesh.
Another way is to press the left mouse button in the drawing area
to define the first corner of the zoom rectangle, and keep the button
pressed and move the mouse to define the second corner. Coordinates
of the selected corners are displayed interactively in the zoom window,
and the ``left bottom'' and ``right top''
corners are displayed in editable windows
when the rectangle zoom is completely defined (left button of the mouse
released).
You can also modify the and coordinates of the ``left
bottom'' and the ``right top'' corners in the zoom window, in the editable
windows, and press the ``set'' button to validate these modifications.
If you want to save the zoom definition, name the file
(vigie_2d.zoom is the default name) and push the ``save'' button.
Then ``restore'' allows to restore the
dimension of the zoom area saved in the named file.
To go back to the initial image, click on
the right mouse button in the drawing window or push the ``reset'' button.
You can leave the zoom mode by clicking again the toggle
``zoom'' (in the working window) or the ``quit'' pushbutton (zoom window).
You can resize your drawing window with the help of your window manager.
