We are pleased to announce the organisation of the 2nd International mini-symposium on Stochastic Models: Methods and Applications (SAMMA 2017), which will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, September 25-30, 2017. Our meeting is organised in conjunction with the 15th International Conference of Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics (ICNAAM 2017). The deadline for submission is July 20, 2017.
The main topics of interest are:

• Queueing models and scheduling disciplines
• Stochastic models for power-saving policies in communication systems
• Risk Processes
• Matrix analytic methods
• Markov decision processes

“Le MOnde des Mathématiques Industrielles” (MOMI) was a two-days worshop held on February 28-29, 2017, at INRIA Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée. The workshop was organised within the context of the research center's PhD seminars and its goal was to allow young researchers to discover the link between the industrial world and applied mathematics.
