Cooperative Research Actions

The INRIA cooperative research actions are an additional means of financing research at INRIA. Each year, possible subjects are presented, and then it is decided at a national level which areas will be given support. Those research activities selected are financed for two years.

The idea is to allow the institute to undertake projects which otherwise would either be difficult or impossible, and to encourage cooperation between the different laboratories at INRIA.

When research activities can be financed at the level of a research unit, no national intervention is required. Therefore, multisite proposals have priority.
