| Abstract :
My research focuses on Probabilistic modeling of textures using Brushlets, i.e., Steerable Wavelet Packets. Probabilistic brushlet models of textures provide new insight into texture structure and statistics by focusing the analysis on significant structure in all possible directions, frequencies and locations. The rotation invariant features based on probabilistic brushlet models are also investigated. The proposed model is applied for texture classification and segmentation.
