- new : creates a new object of given kind
- options : return given function options
- script : Open file name and evaluate all command lines. Arguments can be transmitted in the script command line and are stored as arg1, arg2 ... argn variables
- setDisplayFunction : <default|name> display message function used description: Set the tcl function to call when 'display' is invoked. A default function is used if no function name is provided.
- setEvalFunction : Set the tcl function to call when 'evaluate' is invoked. A default function is used if no function name is provided.
- shell : return TCL shells search path
- which : returns list of item kinds, or list of object of given kind name
- xgrab : grabs a TK window and stores it in a file
