• Age of onset 12-54 (73)

• Behaviour disturbances

• Prominent incoordination

• Progressive dementia

• Disease duration 7 - 30

• MR abnormal in ᢍ% - Lancet 2000, high specificity

• EEG abnormal but non-specific

• Genetic studies: all had same genotype (codon 129 homozygous for methionine)
