What's new ?
 
  During Spring 2002, the Centre will receive the visit of Dr Ben Hariz (université du Maine, France) who is a specialist in the field of statistics of stochastic processes. Prof. Zhang and Dr Ben Hariz, jointly with French researchers such as Prof. El Karoui (Ecole Polytechnique), Dr Emmanuel Gobet (Ecole Polytechnique), Prof. Denis Talay (INRIA and Ecole Polytechnique), etc, will develop an advanced research on the modelling of financial assets and of financial risks. This opens the opportunity of an efficient collaboration between the Centre and financial institutions in Hong Kong. These collaborations will be on a theoretical or/and practical basis.
 
  During Spring 2002, two students from Ecole Polytechnique (France), Maxime Fortin and Aymeric Paillat, will spend internships at Société Générale in Hong Kong.
 
  In September 2002, a Chinese student will go to France to prepare a DEA degree in Financial Mathematics in view of a preparing a PhD under a joint supervision in China and in France.
