MISTRAL cooperates with Alcatel Space Industries on two different topics. The first one is the development of (in particular TCP) traffic models; the second one bears on the optimization and dimensioning of satellite communications.

In a collaboration with France Telecom R&D MISTRAL investigates the application of game theory to the solution of some networking routing problems in presence of noncooperative users.

MISTRAL is also involved in the following research programs funded by the French ministries of research and industry
through the RNRT program:

VTHD in collaboration with France Telecom R&D et le GET. In this projet MISTRAL deploys its Web traffic generator software WAGON on the 2.5Gb/s VTHD platform, so that it can be used on demand to generate Web traffic (up to 1Gb/s).
- ESQUIMAUX in collaboration with CEGETEL, CS, DELTA PARTNERS,
LAAS and ENST in Paris. The objective of this projet is to develop a modeling environnement for the performance evaluation and the dimensioning of IP/MPLS networks carrying multimedia flows.
