PEPA (Performance Evaluation Process Algebra) may well be worth a look. It
has a webpage at:
http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/pepa/
It differs from most other process algebras by being able to model
performance properties. Something that might be useful when modelling
warehouse management.
A good introduction to this work is:
http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/pepa/workcell.ps.gz
which is quite a nice paper that shows how PEPA can be used to
analysis the arrangement of machinery in a factory.
