    Jun. 06 -- Dec. 08 Research Engineer at INRIA Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée, within the EDELWEISS research team.
  • Supervisors: Rose Dieng-Kuntz and Olivier Corby
  • Function: Involved in the European project SevenPro: Semantic Virtual Engineering Environment for Product Design (www.sevenpro.org). Local coordinator for INRIA in charge of the conception and realisation of R&D tasks in SevenPro
  • Topic: My activity consists in studying how far knowledge representation formalisms and semantic Web technologies can help engineering design tasks.

  • Subject: Design and implementation of the PIKTEX system which stands for Text Illustration with Images : A Strategy of Image and Text Mining combination
  • Topic: Apply my previous Ph.D. work on text mining in order to illustrate a text with the most appropriate image(s) based-on the textal description of the pictures stored in an image repository database.

  • Subject : Design and Implementation of a Mining System for Text Knowledge Extraction
  • Supervisors: Amedeo Napoli (Senior researcher at CNRS), and Yannick Toussaint (Senior researcher at INRIA)
  • Topic: Merge the NLP and Data Mining techniques to extract association rules from texts. Use qualitative measures (syntactical and semantical) to rank the extracted rules seeking the most appropriate knowledge conveyed by the rules.
