Workshop on Anatomical Models

16-17 June, 2009 at INRIA Sophia Antipolis - Mediterranee

home - program - venue - social event - hotels

Introduction: Modeling anatomical objects is required to carry on therapy planning and simulation, with more and more interest for patient-specific anatomy. Accurate anatomical models require both geometric modeling (most commonly from imaging devices) and knowledge from the experts. Diagnosis, therapy planning and legal medicine use a combination of simulation and knowledge. This workshop aims at bringing together interdisciplinary people to discuss recent results and research directions in the field, with an emphasis on knowledge technologies applied to computer-aided medicine. The topics covered include but are not limited to:
- generic and per-patient anatomy
- 3D reconstruction for individual anatomy
- mesh generation from multi-domain 3D images
- simulation of skin deformation
- facial reconstruction
- skull growth and speech production
- knowledge technologies in computer-aided medicine
