Saving contents of results window to a file

Hi All,
       I have a query about customising the environment for
a translator/optimiser I have defined in typol.

I have set up a standard typol tool network to run the
translator/optimiser using the:

  ty-create-std-network 

function. I have added a floating menu of buttons to activate
the various stages of the translator and optimiser. The results
appear in a separate window when that stage finishes. The
network works well at the moment but I am not able to save 
the contents of the result window to a file (and the results
are getting large enough that this is a concern).

Is there a simple way to set up the result window with a file
menu or even just a save button? I am mainly interested in saving
just the text version of the abstract syntax.
