Abstract:
Deflation methods are particularly interesting for building coarse grids in
massively parallel domain decomposition algorithms. This is demonstrated
for incompressible flows in which the scalar projection phase solved by a
Schwarz method becomes scalable when deflation is introduced. The
case of compressible models is addressed in combination with the Restrictive
Additive Schwarz algorithm (RAS) and its efficiency demonstrated.
