A six-atom molecule
The problem is the following:
Given the lengths between the atoms and the
angles between two consecutive links, find the global geometry of the molecule
We know that
- the problem can be modeled with 3 parameters as
there are at most 16 isolated solutions for this problem.
The methods we have tested :
- Sparse resultants
- Bézout/Dixon's resultants
- Iterated Sylvester's resultant
- Grobner bases computations
To know more about these methods, see
