Name: Protocol architecture in the XXIst century

This workpackage will draw together the requirements and capabilities
of current and future applications and networks. It will then synthesize a
protocol architecture that will allow dynamic configuration of
protocol profiles, and will enable efficient implementation. In
particular we will be addressing the requirements of mobile sessions
and applications such as group work, along with the need to communicate with
location-independent resources or groups of resources within the
network. The protocol
architecture produced will be the basis for the tool generation in
the second phase of the project.
