With 24 images of the same patient, we have only 23 independant registrations. To obtain a more significant result, we have used 60 randomly chosen pairs of images.
For each registration, we end up the modular registration algorithm with an estimated covariance matrix on the rigid transformation. To give a more intuitive information about the registration accuracy, we compute the typical boundary accuracy (the mean standard deviation on image corners due to the registration uncertainty) and the typical object accuracy (the mean standard deviation on matched extremal points due to the registration uncertainty only).
