My research interests lie in the field of computer graphics, with a focus on real-time rendering and global illumination. More broadly, I am also interested in computer vision, stylized and non-photo-realistic rendering, high-performance computing, numerical methods and Monte-Carlo simulations, computational geometry, programming languages, and algorithms in general.
I am a postdoc in the REVES team at Inria Sophia Antipolis (France) currently working with George Drettakis, Fredo Durand (MIT), and Ravi Ramamoorthi (UC Berkley) on novel importance sampling techniques for bi-directional path tracing. I graduated my PhD in 2012, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Philipp Slusallek, working on real-time ray tracing and global illumination for commodity hardware.
