JavaNCSS is a subsystem that performs static code analysis of Java software, computing standard metrics such as:
- NCSS (Non-Commenting Source Statements)
- CCN (Cyclomatic Complexity Number)
Such measures are extremely helpful in estimating program size, complexity, and effort, especially with respect to having to write and verify program annotations.
There Java NCSS subsystem is used via its
Eclipse plugin, a Swing GUI, and the command-line.
