The 12th World Congress in Mechanism and Machine Science


The IFToMM World Congres is held every four years. It is the largest conference on the topics of Mechanism and Machine Science. It will be held for the first time in France, in the city of Besancon, from June 17 to June 21, 2007. More then one thousand engineers and academics are expected, coming from all over the world for this tremendous event.

During these three days, and through the eight parallel tracks of the conference, hundreds of topics will be discussed, covering the state of the arts of numerous and various engineering area namely:

Computational kinematics, Gearing and transmissions, Human-machine systems, Linkages and cams, Mechatronics, Micromechanisms, Nonlinear oscillations, Robotics, Rotor dynamics, Transportation machinery, Reliability of machines and mechanisms, Education, History of machines and mechanisms Biomechanics, Design methodology, Dynamics of machinery , Tribology, Multibody dynamics, ...

Industrial exhibition

In conjunction with the Word Congress, an industrial exhibition will take place on the premises of the conference from June 18 to June 21, 2007.

For indutrial company related to mechanisms or to any of the previous engineering area, for company designing, developping, producing mechanismes or mechanical systems, for company involved in related software, form all over the world this exhibition is a rare opportunity to presents their products and solutions and to catch attention of future clients.

For engineering schools, for laboratories, regional networks related to mechanism and machine sciences, this exhibition is a important opportunity to demonstrate the regional dynamism and to attract students, to set-up international collaboration and to extend their partnership.

Special Exhibition Area

During the exhibition a special area will be dedicated to the registered delegates to the Word Congress for the following purposes:

Occupation of this area is free but requires a prior registration at the exhibition committee. Planning will be establish on the first come first served basis.

Practical information

For the duration of the exhibition, two sizes of boothes will be available:

These basic flat rates includes boothes installed with partitions, a basic power supply (1kW), and minimal furnitures (4 chairs, 3 exhibition tables and 3 spot lights).

This prices does not include access to the conference. Exhibitors must also register as normal delegate to be able to access conference rooms (450 euros before March 2, 2007, 500 euros after) or as accompanying person (300 euros).
