DAATLE is a startup in
building step, this new startup aims to build SaaS services in the
storage. My internship is performed in collaboration with DAATLE and
aims to model (understand the problems and propose some algorithms to
deal with these problems) and to build the a prototype of the data
management system. The data management system have to decide whether
or not data should be stored locally or be externalized in order to
minimize data management cost. The system works under certain
constraints: the local storage has a limited capacity and a cost, the
external storage systems (Amazone S3, Nirvanix, and Windows Azur)
have unlimited capacity but are expensive than the local one.
