V4 countries form a dynamic economic region in Europe. But analysts have been raising their concerns how long this dynamic can be continued, regained after the recent crisis. They share the opinion that all the V4 countries should turn their strategy toward innovation-driven industries. The V4LIVINGLABS project of the Central Hungarian Innovation Centre Npc. (CHIC), aimed at identifying LL-s and promoting their activities in the V4 economic area, by mapping LL-s, active or in preparation phase, and by identifying their drivers and bottlenecks. Applied research methodology was prepared by utilising ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) experiences. Results of the research outcomes demonstrated the activity and preparation phase and the unsecure perspectives of LL-s in each country. Beside the V4LIVINGLABS project CHIC has been conducting a wider Hungarian project called „Promoting open innovation, Living Lab and social dialogue in Hungary”. Experiences from this project served for reporting on the Hungarian situation.
