Title: Living labs and SMC, Small and Medium Cities : The case study of Citilab in Cornella de Llobregat.
Abstract
Through the case study of Citilab, a living lab at the city of Cornella de Llobregat (Barcelona), we will analyze the problems and solutions of a bottom up innovation model from Small and Medium Cities.
Until now the Triple Helix model organized the innovation systems as a group of national big players, including capitals cities in the equation. Now in the era of Internet and G-20, a more diverse bottom up innovation model is emerging.
The national innovations systems are begining to recognize the regionals ones. The next step in working with cities, and not only national capitals or big cities but also small and medium cities, whare like in SME, a range of user.driven innovation are emerging. Using the case study of Citilab we can discover and analyze some key
problems and solutions in this context.
Key words: SMC, long-tail innovation, design anthropology, innovationship.
