The project consist to create an Elearning Medical Platform in West Africa in order to train students, young people, professionals in Medicine, Nursery and healthcare.  The purpose  is to establish virtual medical school as the platform of Elearning center, which integrates collaborative and self-directed learning environment by virtual group, classroom and library. It combinates  online teaching concerning lectures and workshops by European or American medicine professors and traditional teaching by local medical teachers at présentiel.  The center can provide resources sharing among medical centers partners by using high transportation ability, know how and experience integrated with the Elearning  platform, , and personal multiple point videoconference platform, Multi-video, to popularize the application of Elearning in clinical medicaleducation.

The project aims to provide medical training for the creation of more professionals in the African countries especially for the children and the mother’s healthcare. This course will help bridge the geographical gap that has deterred a lot of people from these locations from studying in medicine in prestigious European and French institutes. The Elearning tools used to create courses will be formulated by both African as well as European partners’ teachers. Thus the African students who need to study theory online will be also supplemented by digital tools and will able to finish courses through practical placements in hospitals and medical institutes in their own countries.

 The platform is dedicated at equal access to medical knowledge and expertise irrespective of the geographical location of the young African people in need to learn health and medicine science permitting an effective knowledge transfers towards African students. Also, the importance of online courses and Elearning in post secondary career oriented medical education has been identified in some recent studies alongside with the benefits of and demand for offering continuing education to health professionals.
