    How is it updated ?

    The feed sat1t (193.48.223.1) located at INRIA Sophia Antipolis pings every 5 minutes the station IP addresses which are supposed to be connected to the satellite network.

    If the feed obtains a response from a station, the station status is marked as UP otherwise DOWN in the table.

    If you own a receiver, you can ping from it any IP addresses marked as UP in the table. The RTT is then over 600 ms. The reason is that your receiver encapsulates the ICMP request via the dvtunneld daemon which sends it to pacman. pacman redirects the ICMP request over the satellite link to the corresponding receiver (about 300 ms). The latter sends back an encapsulated ICMP response to pacman which redirects it over the satellite link (about 300 ms more). The overall RTT is then 600 ms.
