Biography

Andrés Vega García obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Université de Nice in October 1996 with the thesis Control Mechanisms for Audio Transmission over the Internet. This work was directed by Jean Bolot and Christian Huitema , and much of it was carried out within the MERCI project at INRIA, France.

From 1992 to 1993 he specialized (about the MS level) in Computer Science / Networking at Supélec, France.

He obtained his M. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Computer Science Section of the CINVESTAV-IPN, México in 1989 with the thesis Implementation of the CCITT norms X.3, X.28 and X.29 in a X.25 Packet Assembler/Disassembler. His thesis was conducted by Manuel E. Guzmán Rentería.

He obtained his Engineer degree in Telecommunications and Electronics from ESIME-IPN, México in 1988 with the thesis Control Processor and Minimal Software for a Data Switch.
