Introduction
Welcome to the MAVROS home page. We have prepared an introduction to this ASN.1 compiler, which should
answer a large number of your questions.
You may then take a look at a set of manual pages which
describe:
- The ASN.1 parser mavcod, i.e. the first pass
of the compiler,
- The code generator mavros, i.e. the second
pass of the compiler,
- The description of mavros-output,
i.e. the code generated by the compiler,
- The handling of unique codings, e.g. according
to X.509,
- The handling of Object Identifiers,
- The support for UTCtime,
- The handling of long integers and the additional
routines for:
- The management of memory.
We can also provide:
Platform currently supported
MAVROS executable code is available for Sun Solaris 2.5.
However, you can also get the source code.
No extension of the MAVROS compiler is planned by the RODEO group.
How to get MAVROS
You can get a free licence for the MAVROS executable and/or source code for
teaching and research use only.
For commercial use please contact Alain Zahm.
In order to get the free licence you need to provide all the TEN following
items by e-mail to

your professional postal address, e-mail, phone and fax

a short description of your institute/laboratory

the name and coordinates of the scientific
contact (if different than the requester)

the name and coordinates of the legal contact

whether you would like to have access to the
executable only ( 1.7 M) or
with the source code (2.1 M)

the requested duration of the licence

few lines describing the intended use of MAVROS
You will then receive a form to sign.
As soon as we receive the signed form we can either:

send you a password to ftp the file (1.7 or 2.1 M),
- or e-mail the uuencoded gzipped tar file (2.45 or 3 M) to you
No tape support is provided.

Technical Support
The MAVROS compiler was developed by Christian Huitema, now with
Bellcore. Therefore, no technical support is provided by the RODEO
project concerning MAVROS. You can however get a lot of
informations from the above referenced documents. For any
