Getting to Nice
Your destination airport is the
Nice
International Airport.
Getting to the Conference Hotel from the Airport
The conference hotel is the
Plaza Hotel
,
12 "avenue de Verdun", in the Nice downtown area, near the "Promenade des
Anglais".
You can reach the conference hotel from the airport using any of the following ways:
- Taxi :
Call the
Central Taxi Riviera Nice: +33 (0)4 93 13 78 78.
The trip should take around 10-15 minutes and cost
from 20-25 to about 30 Euros depending on traffic and the time of day.
- Bus: This is your cheapest option:
Bus 98
of the
"ligne d'azur"
goes from the airport to downtown Nice and back.
The "Gustave V" and "Albert 1er" stops are both within 5 mns walk
from the conference hotel.
Look for the timetables for the "liaisons directes aeroport", and
eventually for the plan for buses in "Nice".
The trip should take around 15-25 minutes.

For those of you who wish to stay at the Plaza Hotel we have
reserved 40 rooms at the reduced rate
of EUR 125 [resp. 145] per day for a single "classic" [resp. "superior"] room
and EUR 145 [resp. 165] per day for a double classic [resp. superior] room,
including buffet breakfast.

As usual, we recommend that you don't wait until the very last minute
to choose your hotel and book a bedroom...

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) does not issue formal invitation
letters for visas. ACM can however issue a visa support letter. All
requests should be sent to Ashley Cozzi at acozzi@acm.org with the
following information:
- Name and mailing address as it appears on passport.
- The name of the conference you wish to attend.
- Your Registration confirmation number.
- Title and authors of any papers accepted for the conference.
- A valid fax number.
Visa support letters will not be issued via email under any circumstances and
should be requested at least 6-8 weeks prior to the conference.
