Analysis of dynamics
-
Long sequences taken by fixed cameras capture recurring (frequent)
dynamics
-
Dynamics can be extracted by
- Analysing frames independently
- Combining extracted information over time
- Recurring (frequent) dynamics (e.g. flow of people) can be captured
with a statistical model
- Flow can be divided automatically into a number of areas
- Each area represents a state (e.g. position, velocity).
- States can be used to keep track of transitions between areas.

In summary:
- We can learn trends (statistics) by seeing many examples.
