CONFERENCE LOCATION and ACCOMMODATIONS

The hotel is on the seaside and is walking distance from the center of Monte Carlo.
Facing Princess Grace rose garden and sea, the hotel ABELA offers many service : News stand, safe deposit boxes, currency exchange, parking.
 


TRANSPORTATION

Monte Carlo -Principauté de Monaco - is around 30 km from Nice international Airport.
To reach Monaco from the Nice Airport :

1) Through the bus line called "Monaco/Aeroport/Monaco" (buses are red and white). This line is running every day of the week including Saturday and Sunday form 9.00 am to 21.00 pm. You can take this bus either from the terminal 1 (international)  or terminal 2 (domestic flights). For more information on the timetable, please contact the bus information desk at the airport. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Monaco. Bus stop in Monte Carlo is "Roseraie-Abela" just besides the conference hotel. Price is 85, 00 FF. (single) - 140,00 FF. (return ticket).

2) By car : all major companies are represented at the airport.

3) By taxi : taxi fare is about 450,00 FF.

4) By train  from Nice railway station to Monaco -Railway station is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.


SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION

The conference will organize a bus transportation

- the first day of the conference, July 3rd at 9,00 am
- and the last day, July 5th at 6,00 pm

to drive the participants from Nice airport to Monaco. The meeting point on the first day is in front of the "EUROP CAR" desk at Nice airport -terminal 2 domestic flights- The bus driver will hold a sign with the mention " INRIA/Monte Carlo". If you plan to use this bus, please state it in the registration form. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Monaco.


TRAVEL

The conference organization can send to the participant who requires a letter confirming the participation to the conference. This letter might be useful to obtain travel grants in some countries.  If you need, please state it in the registration form.
 

Participants traveling within France can benefit from reduction on return ticket to Nice on domestic flights with the following Companies :

AIR FRANCE (*)   Agreement number SE 27578  30% Tempo Congres 1(K), 50% Tempo Congres 2 (M).

(*) AOM and AIR France require a letter confirming the participation to the conference which can be provide on demand (see the registration form).

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
 

Participants to the conference have to print and fill the registration form and return it together with the registration
fees to Monique SIM0NETTI  -See the local organization address below -

The registration form can be downloaded in WORD file or PostScript file.


REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fees are
 
  • Non academics 
  • 3800,00 FF.
  • Academics
  • 2500,00 FF.
  • Students
  • 2000,00 FF.

    VAT 20,60% included.

    The registration fees include from Monday, July 3 to Wednesday July 5 :

    -  3 lunches
    -  Coffee breaks
    -  Single room or double room (students) for 2 nights  at Hotel Abela (July 3 and 4)
    -  Breakfasts (July 4 and 5 ).
    Special Ground transportation between Nice International Airport and Monaco.

    DEADLINE TO REGISTER : May 10, 2000.


    EXTRA LODGING FACILITIES
     

  • The hotel ABELA offers a preferential rate to those who wish to book a room before or after the conference days :

  •  
    - Single room  660.00 FF./night
    - Double room  730,00 FF./night
    - Breakfast 90,00 FF./person

     
  • For the accompanying persons and only for the two days of the conference, extra price is

  •  

     

     - 300,00 FF./person/day including breakfast, for a 1/2 double room

     - 485,00 FF./person/day including breakfast and lunch, for a 1/2 double room.
     

    If you wish to choose one or the other of these two options, you should fill in the form at the bottom of the registration form together with your credit card name, number and expiration date. The organizers will reserve this option for you and you will be charged directly by the hotel ABEL at the end of your stay.
    The organizers can not accept to add these extra charges to the conference fees.


    CANCELLATION

    Fees will be entirely returned for any written cancellation received before May, 30, 2000 (post marked stamp). No refund will be made for cancellation received after this date.


    PAYMENT

    Payment should be payable to Agent comptable de l'INRIA, by

    - Order Form. Please enclose it with the registration form.

    - Banker's draft in french francs or in Euros to Agent Comptable de l'INRIA

    - Bank transfer to Trésorerie Générale des Yvelines (INRIA)
