During the course of this PhD we have first
developped a mobile code mecanism in the ProActive library, a Java
library for parallel and distributed computing. This mecanism uses
meta-level programming. we have also studied the communication between
objects in presence of migration in heteregenous networks. Two
mecanisms have been proposed and their performances have been analysed
using Markov Chains. Both models have been validated using simulations
and experimentations on a LAN and a MAN. |

This project was twofold. First we have developped
a discrete event simulator of ethernet networks. Then a Java front-end
was added to it in order to draw the topology of the networks to be
simulated. |
