Short Vitae:
Thierry Viéville is a senior researcher at
Inria
(National Research Institute in Computer Science and Control Theory) where he works in Computational Neurosciences, in the
Mnemosyne research team and in the
LINE laboratory regarding education in computer science.
He is a Bio-Medical Ingeneer from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications (Bretagne and Paris), with a master
in Mathematics, a master and a Ph.D.
in Neuro-Science, and the Habilitation to Conduct Researches in Engineering-Science.
His
research interests after Computer Vision is now Computational Neuroscience, more precisely Adaptive Processes, in link with human learning,
now driving the
AIDE exploratory action.
He advised more than twenty PhD students and participated in several international collaborations (EEC projects, ..) with
WP responsabilities.
He also helps Inria regarding Science Outreach.
He is now also involved in educational science, regarding computational thinking teaching.
In truth, he is a failed pop star who now makes a living as a researcher.
