I received an M.Sc. in computer networking and distributed systems in 1999 and a Ph.D. in computer science in 2002, both from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. During 2003-2004, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the Free University at Amsterdam, within the Optimization of Business Processes research group. Since March 2004, I have been with Inria working as a full time researcher in the MAESTRO project-team. I have been involved in the common labs between Inria and Alcatel-Lucent and between Inria and Alstom Transport. I have served in the technical program committees of ACM Sigmetrics and MobiHoc, IEEE Infocom and Globecom, Performance, ITC, Valuetools, and WIOPT. I was the general co-chair of the ACM Sigmetrics/IFIP Performance 2016 conference. My research interests include modeling and performance evaluation of communication networks.

Research activities

My main research interests are:

  • renewable energy in networks and data centers;
  • performance evaluation in general.

Past research interests include:

  • networks of caches;
  • power saving in wireless networks;
  • evolving forwarding schemes in delay-tolerant networks;
  • peer-to-peer storage networks;
  • the medium access control in wireless networks.
