CURRICULUM

Saed Tarapiah was born in Tulkarem,Palestine on March 16th, 1982. he received the Bachelor (equivelent to M.Sc in Europe) Degree (2005) in Computer Department, from College of Engineering, at An-Najah National University, Palestine, and the M.Sc (2nd level specializing master) degree (2007) wireless systems and related technologies with summa cum laude from the Electronics Department of Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

Since January 2008, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino as a Ph.D student working among the Telecommunication Networks Group TNG, under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Carla-Fabiana Chiasserini. He did an internship (2007) in TIM (Telecom Italia Labs) in Common Radio Resource Management in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks-CRRM, as a part of AROMA project. And as a T.A teacher and research assistant (2006-2007) in computer engineering department as an-Najah National university, Palestine.

He is a member of the Network of Excellence Euro-NF. His research interests are in field of wireless communications; in particular he studies the implementation of network coding techniques for multicast video streaming over wireless ad-hoc networks.

From September 2009 he is visiting the MAESTRO Team under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Giovanni Neglia , at INRIA Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée Research Centre. Searching on the project CRASQUIDEM, under the topic Data Routing in a Bus-based DTN

• Network Coding in Ad Hoc Networks.
• multicast video streaming.
• Routing in (Delay Tolerant Network) DTN with quasi-deterministic mobility.
