About me

I am CNRS senior research scientist in the forthcoming project-team Calisto, which is common to Inria Sophia Antipolis–Méditerranée and the Computing and Fluids group at the Center for Material Forming (CEMEF UMR7635 CNRS–MINES ParisTech), in Sophia Antipolis.
My scientific expertise concerns the study of turbulent flows, and more precisely the development and deployment of new analytical and numerical tools to tackle fundamental and applied problems in fluid dynamics and turbulent transport.

Turbulent transport and dispersion

Pair dispersion, point source, inertial particles, preferential concentration, collisions, deposition, finite-size effects, active particles, turbulence modulation.

Basics of turbulence

Spontaneous stochasticity, dissipative anomaly, irreversibility, geometry and statistics, singularities, intermittency and anomalous scaling laws.

Out-of-equilibrium processes 

Random walks in random environments, dissipative systems, large deviations, reaction-advection, coagulation process, granular gases, kinetics, micro-swimmers.

Cloud dynamics and microphysics

Droplet condensation, coalescence growth, concentration and preferential settling, caustics and sling effect, wet deposition, fluctuations and catastrophic events.

Academy of Excellence "Complex Systems"

I am in charge of the "Complex Systems" Academy, which is one of the five Academies of Excellence that shape scientific activities within the initiative of excellence (IDEX) of Université Côte d'Azur. The objectives of the Academy is to structure transdisciplinarity and to support training and research initiatives. It provides funding to various projects, gives advices and consulting through its Scientific Council and plays a facilitating role by promoting closer ties with other entities of Université Côte d'Azur.
