Modelamiento Matematico por Manejo de Recursos Naturales

MOMARE

This project is funded for the years 2010 and 2011 by the Regional Program STIC-AmSud 2009 Project Proposal (Research – Innovation). [project pdf]

This project aims at developing a scientific network, consisting of applied mathematicians, around several case studies of estimation and management of renewable resources. It will permit to share different approaches for modeling renewable resources dynamics and proposing algorithms for identification and control. The mathematical tools are based on dynamical systems theory (simulation, analysis and identification) and optimization (optimal control theory, game theory, viability) for deterministic and stochastic systems as well. The project will focus on various ecosystems from microbial ecology to exploited forest, as well as fisheries, etc. Transfer will be based on software development with tools such as Scilab.

[most recent common ancestor : Gaston Darboux]

The MOMARE projected is structured on two sub-themes according to the application fields: ♦ microbiology ♦ harvesting (fishery and forestry). The latter sub-theme is in the continuation of the MIFIMA SticAmsud project 2007-2009.

Workshops and meetings sponsored or partially sponsored by MOMARE:

PhD and engineer diplomas:

◊ These works were initiated under MIFIMA project (SticAmSud 2007-2009) and continued within the MOMARE project.

In preparation:

The activities around the STIC-AmSud Program MOMARE have permitted to develop other relevant initiatives:

Project coordinators at each country
