  Olivier Faugeras   To celebrate Olivier Faugeras' 60th birthday, the INRIA Sophia Antipolis – Méditerranée research centre organizes a one-day scientific meeting on Artificial Vision, Biological Vision and Computational Neuroscience.

On this occasion, Olivier, who has been serving as Research director at INRIA, Member of the French Academy of Sciences, and Member of the French Academy of Technologies, has invited a number of his most prestigious colleagues in the fields above, as well as some of his former students who have distinguished themselves as true leaders in their respective fields.

During his fruitful career, Olivier has provided major contributions to the fields of artificial vision and images processing; he also participated in the creation of spin-off companies such as Noesis and Realviz. Olivier's newly created research team, NeuroMathComp, aims to tackle some of the hard mathematical and scientific problems set by computational neuroscience.

This meeting will provide great opportunities to meet leading researchers and entrepreneurs, and to pave the way for future collaborations
