Résumé:

Abstract : The recent emergence of Smart Grid is attracting huge interests from both academia and industries. Considering Smart Grid as a convergence of ICT industry and energy industry to form a new 21st century "Internet of Energy", it will open a door to a vast new market and also very large number of topics for academic research. How can existing networking and ICT researches can find a new applicable fields in the new land called "Smart Grid"? How feasible are these approaches to the energy market? What are the challenges and opportunities for these researches? This seminar will raise some open issues for academia and beyond that, analyse them from both practical & business perspectives. A scenario of Information-Centric Network application in Smart Grid will be analysed as a sample. Speaker's Bio: Nguyen Chan Hung is currently Director of Green Technology Center at Vietnam Research Institute of Electronics, Informatics and Automation (VIELINA), Vietnam. He obtained his Ph.D. in Telematics from the University of Valladolid, Spain in 2002. He was Professor at the School of Electronics and Telecommunications (SET), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) from 1995-2012. His fields of interest include multimedia networking and applications, P2P overlay network and Smart Grid. He led a number of national key ICT projects and international R&D projects in collaboration with Japanese NTT, Panasonic, Belgium VLIR and German GIZ. Recently he have co-advised a Ph.D. Thesis with INRIA Sophia Antipolis Méditerranée.
