Pagerank is the popularity score of a website. Since the information on the Internet is huge, the popularity score became a crucial complement to the content score and provided search engines with impressively accurate results for all types of queries. In the seminar, we will analyse the sensitivity of Pagerank with respect to its parameters, especially damping factor. We have proposed new criteria for choosing the damping factor based on ergodic structure of the Web Graph and probability flows. We will also have a look at personalize Pagerank, Pagerank's computation methods and the future of Pagerank in Web information retrieval.
