Rules for the Best Paper Award
The Award Committee will establish a rating of the written version paper
with regard to the following criteria:
- originality
- theoretical depth
- prospective potential
- long term view
- experimentation
- successful transfer to industry
- educative contribution
- is the author a young researcher?
For the final decision, the presentation of the paper at the Conference is also of
importance, applying the following aspects:
- clearness of the presentation
- organisation of the presentation
- well-founded knowledge
ending up in a rating of the presentation of the paper.
The final assessment of the paper is then composed as follows:
- written part: 70%
- presentation: 30%
Then an Award Committee meeting will be organized to decide
the winners before the IROS 2008 Awards Ceremony.
