Face reconstruction

From a face model with an adapted geometry:

we wish to reconstruct other people's face aquired as point sets:

The following sequence shows different stages of the deformation process:

(a) Initialization (b) Rigid registration (c) Affine registration
(d) Hybrid deformations (e) Textured view

The model is roughly initialized (a) then registered with rigid (b) and affine (c) transformations. Hybrid deformations (d) then take care of non-rigid shape variations. A textured view (e) clearly shows that the model preserved its geometric properties (eyes vertices deformed toward the eyes...). This wouls not have been the case in the local deformations framework.
