By thresholding the Jacobian operator (for example) we can find an approximative segmentation of the evolving areas. At this time, we have not developped any automatic algorithm for finding the best thresholding. We have found empirically that Jac(phi)<0.3 is a good value for extracting shrinking areas. In fact, we only use shrinking information of the direct and reverse fields because there are more vectors in shrinking areas than in expanding ones:

• Results between 2 images.
• Method and results for more than 2 images.
• Results when focusing on 1 lesion over 9 instances. We focus on a lesion to avoid the noise problems.
