Hi,

I have something very strange to report.

All of a sudden the CENTAUR systems stops with messages like

** sun4 : machine error : segmentation fault

** sun4 : machine error : illegal instruction

** sun4 : machine error : illegal instruction
 error UNBINP ***** Fatal error : stack underflow.

These messages will occur during execution of TYPOL programs
(more likely if they are compiled in debug mode)
or simply when I try to load another file (in my user language)
into a ctedit.
(I do not examine free variables during debugging -
 I know this may cause problems)

Unfortunately I can not reproduce the errors consistently.
They will occur whenever they like.

Now the strangest thing is still to come:

I could never provoke these errors on other SPARCstation10's!
My machine seems to be the only one with that problem.

Have you ever heard of such a phenomenon?
Does this indicate a hardware problem (My machine runs fine,
except for these errors), or maybe I have not tried hard enough on
the other machines.

I am curious what you think about this.
