Centaur-problem:starting server

Dear Mrs. Honnorat,

I have a problem running the Centaur system: I cannot start any
servers. The following is a logfile of a Centaur session:

=>	<capri 61>: xset +fp /vol/centaur/centaur/fonts/X11/sun
=>	<capri 62>: which centaur
=>	/vol/centaur/bin/centaur
=>	<capri 63>: centaur

=>	; Le-Lisp (by INRIA) version 15.24 ( 2/Janv/91)   [sun4OS4]
=>	MU-Prolog 3.2 - Typol $Revision: 1.1 $

=>	TYPOL : tables read.
=>	error : tables read.
=>	Centaur v1.2p1 (2.51.41.67) centaur - Mon Sept 28 92 08:08:39
=>	= ()
=>	? SDF : tables read.
=>	service METAL@ not found in (null)

=>	Restarting locally: server -wait -name METAL /vol/centaur/cent
=>	aur/tables/metal/METAL
=>	** #:io:client:open-spawn-server-if-needed : Wrong hostname or
=>	 port returned : sh: 262 Killed

=>	= ()
=>	? !server -name METAL /vol/centaur/centaur/tables/metal/METAL
=>	sh: 265 Killed
=>	= t

I have been able to load a Sdf-file into the ctview. However, if I
try to load a Metal-file into the editor, the server-command is
started from the system and the system is blocked afterwards. The same
happens if I start the server-command manually. (This is the case for
METAL, PPML and TYPOL.) The problem seems to be with the interprocess
communication. Do you know of similar problems?

Perhaps our system configuration cause those effects? We are running
SunOS 4.1.3 and X11R5.

I will thank you for any idea or hint how I could solve my problem.

Thank you in advance
